New for 2021 Mending Walls is launching another wave of public art projects and collaboration with non-profit organizations to encourage conversations, healing, and connections to continuously progress after the social unrest that followed George Floyd’s death. This new series will aim to raise public awareness about local organizations that have served, empowered, and advocated for racial equity in the Greater Richmond area for years.

This year, the public arts project will partner with four organizations that work within four critical areas in which  communities of color  have historically been harmed. The areas of focus are along, and community partner organizations are:
