Humble is a pseudonym/project of artist Christian Kyle Harrell. Raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Humble moved to Richmond, VA to pursue a degree in 2009 at Virginia Commonwealth University. After graduating in 2013, he decided to shift his focus primarily into large scale art-making. Since then, his work has appeared on walls from New York to Miami, stretching as far as Puerto Rico. Humble has also collaborated with companies such as TOMS and Pepsi during his art career. His canvas work has appeared in galleries around Virginia and have sold to collectors in these areas. His collaborative activations with major festival include: Something In the Water, Electric Forest, Firefly and D.C. Jazz Fest. While his main medium is painting, his fields of focus also include design and fashion – he is always interested in the mixing of disciplines and how these different creative fields can overlap.

Having grown up in beach towns, influences in his work are drawn from the phosphorescent acid-colors of bathing suits and the overall beach life style. His works are present, alive, and full of energy. Humble is a study of the self, with expression at the forefront – its purpose is to evoke emotion and establish human connections.
